Die Welt auf dem Prüfstand: Nachhaltigkeitsindikatoren im Rio-Follow-up (2001)
Im Mittelpunkt der Studie steht das Arbeitsprogramm der "Commission on Sustainable Development" (CSD) zu Nachhaltigkeitsindikatoren und seine Umsetzung in Deutschland und Europa. Die 134 Indikatoren der CSD lassen sich jeweils einer der vier Dimensionen Soziales, Umwelt, Wirtschaft oder Institutionen, zuordnen. Damit wurde das “klassische Nachhaltigkeitsdreieck” um eine politisch-prozessuale Komponente (Institutionen) erweitert. download (pdf-file, 469 KB)

MARS - Monitoring the Alpine Regions´s Sustainability (2005)
MARS project elaborated a database with indicators, comparative data and appropriate methods of aggregation and integration for monitoring sustainable development of Alpine regions.Taking into account the sustainability pillars of economy, environment and society a set of 45 indicators was established aggregate for 33 regions in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Slovenia and Switzerland. Rating all regions, the Austrian state of Vorarlberg proved to be the most sustainable region. download and more information

Development Report 2005 of Slovenia
The Development Report´s primary purpose is to monitor the implementation of the Strategy for the Economic Development of Slovenia (SEDS) adopted in 2001. The report is largely based on a list of indicators designed to monitor the extent to which the country´s development is following the goal of a sustainable improvement in the welfare of Slovenians and to analysis the degree to which the development factors and mechanisms set out in the SEDS have been further carried out. downloawd (pdf-file, 1,2 MB)

45 Indicators for Sustainable Development in France (IFEN)
