Passeier Valley

Geography

The investigation area of the European Academy of Bolzano/Bozen in Southern Tyrol is situated in the Village Walten (St. Leonhard in Passeier) in the Passeier Valley. Walten is a small Village on the road above the "Jaufenpass". The "Jaufenpass" road is the direct road from Sterzing (Vipiteno) to Meran (Merano). The investigations sites are situated in an altitude of 1600 m asl.
