  • February 26th, 2020: Edition 8 Best Thesis Prize
    We are happy to announce the winner of the AstroMundus Best Thesis Prize for Edition 8. The prize was awarded to Hitesh Lala who carried out the Master thesis project at the University of Padova and successfully defended the thesis 'A six-dimensional phase-space study of NGC 6752' on 09/09/2019.
  • January 31st, 2020: AstroMundus Graduations Edition 8.
    The last graduation from Edition 8 took place successfully in Rome today. We congratulate once again all graduates from this last course edition that also marks the conclusion of the AstroMundus programme.
  • October 16th, 2019: AstroMundus Graduations 2019.
    Most Edition 8 students have graduated in September 2019. We are happy to congratulate them all on their achievements and wish them all a bright future! Their thesis titles (and their next career steps, when known) can be found in our Alumni page.
  • August 22nd, 2019: Edition 7 Best Thesis Prize.
    We are happy to congratulate Abhishek Choulgule, who was awarded the prize for the best Master thesis of AstroMundus Edition 7! Abhishek carried out his thesis project partly in Belgrade and partly in Innsbruck, under the joint supervision of the two Universities and defended his thesis "Influence of improved Stark broadening data on chromium spectral lines" at the University of Innsbruck on 25/09/2018.
  • August 22nd, 2019: Best poster presentations at the AstroMundus Retreat 2019.
    The award for Edition 8 best poster presentation of the Master thesis project was assigned to Laura Ketzer, who is writing her thesis at the University of Innsbruck. Another two students received a nomination for the second and third place in the poster-presentation competition, Gemma Gonzalez I Tora (supervised at the University of Innsbruck) and Aishwarya Girdhar (supervised at the University of Padova), respectively. Congratulations to the three of them!
  • August 22nd, 2019: AstroMundus Retreat 2019.
    This year's AstroMundus retreat was a special one, because it was the last retreat of the programme. it was hosted by the Petnica Science Centre, near Valjevo, Serbia and co-organized by the University of Belgrade. Edition 8 students presented their thesis projects to the AstroMundus Consortium. An invitation to participate was extended to all AstroMundus Alumni, a few of which (from Editions 1, 3, 4, and 7) were able to participate and discussed their experiences after the Master. A special guest was Prof. Andrew Bunker (University of Oxford), who participated as a member of the external Scientific Advisory Board of the programme.
  • November 30th, 2018: Master thesis results covered by Forbes.
    Agata Wislocka, AstroMundus Edition7, had her Master thesis results covered by Forbes Magazine, following her presentation at this year's International Astronomical Union General Assembly in Vienna. Congratulations Agata! Forbes' article can be found at this link.
  • November 30th, 2018: AstroMundus graduations 2018.
    We are happy to congratulate all Edition 7 students on their recent graduation and wish them all a bright future! Their thesis titles (and their next career steps, when known) can be found in our Alumni page.
  • October 18th, 2018: No call for applications this year.
    The AstroMundus Consortium would like to inform prospective applicants that this year the program will not issue any call for applications. Future calls will be announced in due time on this website.
  • August 24th, 2018: AstroMundus @ IAU GA 2018
    AstroMundus is present with a booth in the exhibition area of the International Astronomical Union General Assembly that is taking place in Vienna for two weeks from August 20th to 31st, 2018. Several current students and alumni of the AstroMundus programme are attending the General Assembly and will be present at our booth to interact with the public especially on Friday, August 31st, when the Open Day of the IAU GA takes place.
  • July 14th, 2018: AstroMundus Retreat 2018.
    This year's AstroMundus Retreat took place at the University Centre Obergurgl - University of Innsbruck, in the Austrian Alps, from June 13th to 15th. Edition 7 students presented very interesting thesis projects and the award for the best poster-presentation of the thesis went to Andrea Guzman Mesa and Jarred Green. Congratulations to both of them! The beautiful natural environment in Obergurgl was a special stage for Edition 8 students, who talked about their past achievements and plans for the future. All students and staff members from the AstroMundus universities and associated partners enjoyed very much the meeting.   • December 30th, 2017: Edition 6 Best Thesis Prize.
    We are happy to congratulate Tadeja Veršic, who has been awarded the prize for the best AstroMundus Master thesis of Edition 6. Tadeja carried out her thesis project "On the Kinematics of Sculptor Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy " at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where she defended her thesis on 29/09/2017.
  • November 22nd, 2017: AstroMundus graduations 2017.
    We are happy to congratulate all Edition 6 students who graduated in the past two months and wish them all a bright future! Their thesis titles (and in the future their next career steps) can be found in our Alumni page.
  • November 21st, 2017: Erasmus+ Project Results Platform.
    The first cycle of AstroMundus that was concluded in 2016 is present on the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform as a "success story" and "good practice" example. A new fact-sheet about the course has now been published on the Platform.
  • October 13th, 2017: AstroMundus Edition 8 has started.
    Our traditional welcome reception with authorities of the University of Innsbruck  and members of the AstroMundus programme took place at the Claudiana on October 4th, 2017, thus marking the official start of Edition 8. Welcome speeches were given by the AstroMundus Programme Coordinator, Assoc.-Prof. Dr. Francine Marleau, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Teaching, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Bernhard Fügenschuh, the Head of the International Relations Office, Dr. Mathias Schennach, and the Head of International Services, Dr. Barbara Tasser. We wish our new students a fruitful and successful time within our programme.
  • September 21st, 2017: Updated EACEA Privacy Statement.
    We would like to inform students and applicants that the Educational, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) updated its "provisions for the processing of personal data" in the context of the "Erasmus Mundus Programme" and "Erasmus+ Programme", which are specified in this document. This information, as well as information on the use of collected personal data by the AstroMundus Consortium can be found in the section "Application", sub-menu "Forms" of the AstroMundus webpage.
  • September 13th, 2017: No call for applications this year.

  • September 13th, 2017: AstroMundus Retreat 2017.
    This year's AstroMundus retreat was hosted by the Italian Space Agency ASI in Rome from June 21st to 23rd. Special guests were the new member of the AstroMundus external Scientific Advisory Board, Prof. Andrew Bunker (University of Oxford, UK) and the EACEA officer Mrs. Despina Christadoni. Students of Edition 6 presented their ongoing thesis projects. Students of Edition 7, at their second semester, introduced themselves before all participants by presenting their past work and future plans. Photo albums of the event are available on the google+ page of the AstroMundus Retrat 2017. Many thanks to ASI for hosting the event and actively participating in it.
  • June 6th, 2017: Success Story.
    The first cycle of the AstroMundus program "Astrophysics", Editions 1 through 5, has been selected as a "success story" by a panel of experts from the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission. Quoting the official communication, " 'Success stories' are finalised projects that have distinguished themselves by their impact, contribution to policy-making, innovative results and/or creative approach and can be source of inspiration for others. The selection of your project as a success story was made on the basis of rigorous criteria regarding its quality, relevance and results."
    A warm "Thank You!" goes to the staff members of all participating institutions, whose efforts and commitment made this result possible and to all AstroMundus students, who contributed to this result with their engagement.
  • February 22nd, 2017: Selections Edition 8.
    A total of 121 applications from 40 countries have been received for the upcoming course edition. Of these, 109 were complete applications and were evaluated by the Selection Committee. The Admission Department of the Coordinating University is proceeding with the formal check of all submitted documents.
  • February 22nd, 2017: Next AstroMundus Retreat.
    We are looking forward to the next AstroMundus retreat that will take place in Rome from Wednesday June 21st to Friday June 23rd, 2017 and for the first time this year will be hosted by ASI, the Italian Space Agency.
  • January 3rd, 2017: Edition 5 Best Thesis Prize.
    We are happy to congratulate Bastian Proxauf, who has been awarded the prize for the best AstroMundus Master thesis of Edition 5. Bastian carried out his thesis project "Homogeneous Metallicity Scale for Galactic Classical Cepheids" at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he defended his thesis on 30/09/2016.
  • December 21st, 2016: Crowdfunding Campaign ended.
    Our crowdfunding campaign ended on December 18th, 2016. Unfortunately, the financial goal that was set for the campaign has not been reached. We thank all donors and supporters for their generosity and engagement. The contributions that were made to the campaign before the deadline will be automatically refunded by Indiegogo to the donors within 7 business days.
  • October 19th, 2016: AstroMundus Crowdfunding Campaign has started.
    Our crowdfunding campaign "Train Astrophysics Professionals for Development" has been launched today and has 60 days time to reach its initial goal. Help us raise funds for additional scholarships! These will be especially dedicated to selected excellent students among Edition 8 applicants, who are coming from world regions/countries where advanced study programmes in Astronomy & Astrophysics are still missing or in an early development phase. We are deeply thankful for any contribution to the campaign and support in sharing it.
  • October 10th, 2016: Restriction for field of studies for nationals of DPRK.
    With reference to our current call for applications for the course starting in October 2017, following a note of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission about the Council of the European Union Decision (CFSP) 2016/849 of 27 May 2016, Chapter VIII, Article 30, this year we are not able to accept applications from nationals of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
  • October 9th, 2016: AstroMundus Edition 7 has started.
    Our traditional welcome reception with authorities of the University of Innsbruck  and members of the AstroMundus programme took place at the Claudiana on October 5th, 2016, thus marking the official start of Edition 7. Welcome speeches were given by the AstroMundus Programme Coordinator, Assoc.-Prof. Dr. Francine Marleau, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Teaching, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Bernhard Fügenschuh, the Head of the International Relations Office, Dr. Mathias Schennach, and the AstroMundus Board Member, Dr. Sonia Giovanna Temporin. We wish our new students a fruitful and successful time within our programme.
  • October 9th, 2016: AstroMundus graduations 2016.
    We are happy to congratulate all Edition 5 students who graduated in the past month and wish them all a bright future! Their thesis titles and next career steps - in most cases a PhD - can be found in our Alumni page.
  • September 30th, 2016: Upcoming Crowdfunding Initiative.
    In parallel to the currently open call for applications for next year's course edition (Edition 8), in the coming month AstroMundus is going to launch a crowdfunding campaign on the indiegogo.com platform (stay tuned for the announcement!). The goal of the campaign is to raise funds for additional scholarships that will be especially dedicated to selected excellent students among Edition 8 applicants, who are coming from world regions/countries where advanced study programmes in Astronomy & Astrophysics are still missing or in an early development phase. With this initiative, AstroMunds further engages in fostering development of/through Astrophysics worldwide.
  • September 30th, 2016: Info-day Edition 7.
    Almost all Edition 7 students have arrived at the University of Innsbruck, where they will attend today an Information Day. Representatives of most Consortium Universities will be present to introduce their Institutions and their local AstroMundus curricula to the incoming students. The event includes a meeting of the Consortium Academic Advisors and a technical information session for the students about the first semester and the study programme in general.
  • September 19th, 2016: New Twitter profile.

  • September 1st, 2016: Edition 5 Graduations.
    September is "graduation month" for most Edition 5 students. The first Master thesis defense of this edition already took place on July 27th at the University of Göttingen. Congratulations Minh Nguyen and best wishes to all Edition 5 students!
  • August 29th, 2016: New G+ page.
    AstroMundus has now a new google+ page.
  • August 1st, 2016: Call for applications 2016.
    The call for applications for the AstroMundus Master Course 8th Edition (starting Oct 2017) is open from Aug. 1st until Nov. 30th, 2016.
  • July 14th, 2016: AstroMundus @ EWASS2016.
    During the week July 4th - 8th, 2016, AstroMundus was present with an exhibition booth at the European Week of Astronomy and Space Science EWASS 2016 in Athens, Greece. The programme poster created for this occasion is available for download.
  • July 14th, 2016: AstroMundus Retreat 2016.
    The annual retreat of the programme brought together Edition 5 and Edition 6 students at the Astrophysical Observatory of Asiago, Italy, in the premises of the University of Padova, during the weekend July 1st - 3rd, 2016. Committee members and lecturers from all AstroMundus Universities and Associated Partners were present. Edition 5 students presented their thesis projects, while Edition 6 students participated in exercise sessions and gave short presentations of the results.   • May 21st, 2016: New Look.
    Starting today, the official AstroMundus website has a new look!
  • May 21st, 2016: The AstroMundus-ESO Connection.
    An article has appeared on the Messenger Issue 163 - March 2016 p.51-52 about the activities carried out by AstroMundus students during their visits to the ESO Headquarters. The AstroMundus Team thanks again the ESO staff for their efforts and for offering this great opportunity to the students of this programme.
  • May 19th, 2016: Edition 7 participants.
    Twenty students are expected to join the 7th Edition of the AstroMundus Master Course in October this year. We are looking forward to welcoming them in Innsbruck! Through co-funding by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and by the AstroMundus Consortium members we were able to assign a total of 18 scholarships for this course edition. 
  • January 27th, 2016: Visit to ESO Headquarters.
    In the past two days our Edition 6 students and 2 students from Edition 5 had the wonderful opportunity to have a guided visit to the ESO Headquarters in Garching (Germany). The programme included a visit to the labs where new instruments are being developed and an hands-on session on how to write a proposal for obtaining observational time at large telescopes. Thank you very much to ESO staff for organizing this visit!
  • January 14th, 2016: Selections Edition 7.
    A total of 134 applications for the upcoming course edition have been received and evaluated by the Selection Committee. The Admission Department of the Coordinating University is proceeding with the formal check of all submitted documents.
  • December 16th, 2015: Edition 4 Best Thesis Prize
    Congratulations to Aleksandar Cikota, who has been awarded the prize for the best AstroMundus Master thesis of Edition 4! Aleksandar carried out his research project at the University of Innsbruck and at the Space Telescope Science Institute (Baltimore, MD, USA). He defended the thesis "A Study of the Effect of Host Galaxy Extinction on the Colors of Type Ia Supernovae" at the University of Innsbruck in July 2015.
  • December 15th, 2015: AstroMundus Graduations 2015.
    We are happy to congratulate all Edition 4 students who recently obtained their Joint MSc Degree in Astrophysics and wish them all the best for their future. Their names and thesis titles are available here.
  • December 1st, 2015: End of application period 2015.
    The call for applications for the upcoming Edition 7 (starting in October 2016) has been closed on November 30th, 2015. The applications are being checked for completeness by the AstroMundus Administration Office and will be evaluated by the AstroMundus Selection Committee and by the Admission Department of the coordinating university. The final selection results are expected to be available by mid-April 2016 and will be notified to the applicants via e-mail.
  • October 7th, 2015: AstroMundus Edition 6 has started.
    Our traditional welcome reception with authorities of the University of Innsbruck took place at the Claudiana on October 6th. The students started their activities by participating in the information day on October 2nd at the University of Innsbruck, where they could meet representatives of all Consortium Universities. Lectures started on October 6th.  We wish our new students a fruitful and successful time within our programme.
  • September 30th, 2015: New Associated Partners.
     The AstroMundus Consortium welcomes as new Associated Partners the Astronomical Observatory of Belgrade (Serbia), the Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica with the Astronomical Observatory of Padova and the Astronomical Observatory of Rome (INAF-OAPd and INAF-OAR, Italy), the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare with the Gran Sasso Science Institute (INFN-GSSI, L'Aquila, Italy), and the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS, Göttingen, Germany). With the signature of all participating institutions, the new Consortium Agreement for the Course Editions 2015, 2016, and 2017 has entered into force on September 30th, 2015.
  • July 13th, 2015: Call for Applications 2015.
    The call for applications for the AstroMundus Master Course 7th Edition (starting Sept 2016) will be open from Aug. 1st, 2015 until Nov. 30th, 2015.
  • March 15th, 2015: AstroMundus Retreat 2015
    This year's retreat will be hosted by the Gran Sasso Science Institute (L'Aquila, Italy), from 3rd to 5th July. Students from Edition 4 will present their ongoing thesis projects and meet Edition 5 students, AstroMundus Commitee members and lecturers. The event includes a visit to the Gran Sasso Laboratories.
  • January 18th, 2015: Edition 6.
    The AstroMundus call for applications for the course starting in autumn this year was closed on December 1st, 2014. We received a total of 103 applications. The selection process is currently ongoing. The number of scholarships available for this year's course is expected to become known in the course of spring.
  • December 19th, 2014: Congratulations to Anna Ogorzalek!
    She has been awarded the prize for the best Master thesis of the 3rd AstroMundus Edition. Anna has written her thesis "MHD Simulations of Colliding Stellar Winds in Binary Systems" at the University of Innsbruck. We are happy to congratulate all other Edition 3 students, too, on their recently obtained MSc Degree in Astrophysics and wish them a bright, successful future.
  • October 8th, 2014: Edition 5 has started.
    The students of the 2014 AstroMundus edition have started their activities by participating in the Info-day on September 29th at the University of Innsbruck, where they could meet representatives of the various AstroMundus Universities. On October 1st they started attending their 1st semester lectures. Our traditional Welcome Reception with the participation of authorities from the University of Innsbruck took place at the Claudiana on October 6th. We wish a fruitful and successful experience to our new students!
  • September 1st, 2014: Call for applications, Astromundus 6th edition.
     Applications can be submitted from September 1st 2014 until December 1st, 2014 for  the Masters Course starting in Sept 2015.
  • July 31st, 2014: Delayed Call for Applications.
    Our new call for applications is going to open a little later than in previous years, in the course of August. This is due to the ongoing transition to the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, in which their former Erasmus Mundus programme has been integrated. For the incoming 2014 Edition, AstroMundus is co-funded by the European Union as an Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus Masters Course.
  • May 28th, 2014: AstroMundus on Italian TV.
    A video featuring the AstroMundus Masters Course at the University of Padova has been broadcasted by Rai Italia within the TV programme "Campus Italia" dedicated to educational excellence programmes in Italy. The part dedicated to our programme can be seen in the online video starting at the minute 8:55, with the participation of Edition 3 and Edition 4 students, together with local Master students, the local Coordinator and the Director and Vice-Director of the Padova Department of Physics and Astronomy "Galileo Galilei".
  • April 15th, 2014: AstroMundus Alumni.
    Some AstroMundus Alumni have accepted to share with us their post-graduation experiences. Read their stories on our facebook page! Check out in our students section the titles of the Master theses with which our students graduated from AstroMundus and the list of academic institutions where they are currently doing their PhD.
  • April 1st, 2014: AstroMundus Retreat, 13th-15th June, 2014.
    We are happy to announce that the AstroMundus annual retreat will take place this year for the second time at the University Centre Obergurgl. We are looking forward to welcome all students of Editions 3 and 4 and to see the presentations of the ongoing thesis projects of Edition 3.
  • February 28th, 2014: Edition 5 selection.
    The AstroMundus Selection Committee has completed the selection process for the upcoming Edition 5. The list of selected students has been transmitted for approval to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission. The final results are expected in the second half of May, 2014.
  • January 8th, 2014: Congratulations to Gerardo Martinez Aviles!
      He has been awarded the prize for the best Master Thesis of the second AstroMundus Generation.  Gerardo has written his Master Thesis with the topic  “On the Evolution of Galactic Habitability” at the University of  Innsbruck, in joint supervision with the University of Belgrade.

  • December 31st, 2013: Edition 5.
    AstroMundus has received 104 applications from students coming from 44 different countries. The selection process is ongoing. The next call for applications for the course starting in September 2015 will be opened in August 2014.
  • October 18th, 2013: Edition 4 has started!
    Our new students are now attending their first semester in Innsbruck. To welcome them, we organized an Info-Day in Innsbruck on September 27th, 2013 with the participation of representatives of all AstroMundus Universities. On September 28th we went for a short walk on Innsbruck mountains and on October 1st our traditional Welcome Reception took place at the "Claudiana" with the participation of authorities of the University of Innsbruck. Check out the photos of these events in our photo gallery! Finally, on October 17th we enjoyed with our students a traditional dinner with chestnuts and new wine ("Törggelen") in South Tyrol, Italy. 
  • September 30th, 2013: Edition 2 graduations.
    We are happy to congratulate all Edition 2 students on their successful graduation! We wish them all best of success for their future career. Their Master theses titles can be seen in our Alumni page.
  • August 1st, 2013: Call for applications, AstroMundus fifth edition.
    Applications for the course starting in Sept. 2014 can be submitted from Aug. 1st, 2013 until Nov. 30th, 2013.
  • June 4th, 2013: Edition 4.
    All available scholarships have been assigned to the highest ranked Edition 4 applicants. These are 8 Category A and 4 Category B scholarships funded by the European Commission and 2 Category B scholarships funded by the University of Innsbruck. All other applicants that were selected as eligible to participate in the programme remain in a waiting list for scholarships. Should a full or partial scholarship become available they will be notified immediately, starting from the highest ranked applicants. They are most welcome to enter the programme with any alternative funding they might be able to obtain.
  • May 26th, 2013: AstroMundus Retreat, 24th-26th May 2013, Obergurgl, Austria.
    This year the venue for the annual Retreat has been the University Centre Obergurgl, in the Ötz Valley. Edition 2 and Edition 3 students gathered together with committee members and lecturers from our 5 Universities. Edition 2 students presented posters with the preliminary results of their ongoing thesis works and we all had many useful discussions and a very pleasant time. Visit our photogallery!
  • January 31st, 2013: Congratulations to Payaswini SAIKIA!
    She has been awarded the prize for the best Master Thesis of the first AstroMundus Generation. The thesis was written at the University of Belgrade and University of Göttingen with the title "The UV and optical spectral properties of a sample of broad line AGNs".
  • September 17th, 2012: Graduation time!
    Some Edition 1 students have recently graduated, others are currently in the process. AstroMundus wishes them all the best for their future life and career. The official AstroMundus Awarding Ceremony will take place on December 15th, 2012 in the Congress Hall, hall Tirol (first floor) at 10:00.
  • September 17th, 2012: Edition 3 is starting.
    Edition 3 students are currently reaching Innsbruck to start their 1st semester. An information-day with the participation of staff members from the partner universities is scheduled on Spetember 24th at the Institute of Astro- and Particle Physics. A walk on Innsbruck mountains to "Arzler Alm" on September 29th will give the new students the chance to get to know each other and the Innsbruck staff while enjoying a great view. The official Welcome Reception will take place as usual in the historical building "Claudiana" in the city center on October 8th.
  • July 31st, 2012: Call for applications, AstroMundus fourth edition.
    Applications for the course starting in Sept. 2013 can be submitted from Aug. 1st, 2012 until Nov. 30th, 2012.
  • July 4th, 2012: Second AstroMundus Retreat.
    The second AstroMundus retreat at the Astrophysical Observatory of Asiago has taken place from June 29th to July 1st, 2012. First edition students have presented posters with their ongoing thesis projects. Second generation students have participated in exercise sessions and presented the results they obtained. Committee members and some lecturers from all AstroMundus universities were present. Please visit the photo gallery of the retreat.
  • June 12th, 2012: Edition 3 Scholarships.
    The final decision has come in, and scholarship holders have been informed.
  • May 8th, 2012: Edition 3 Scholarships.
    The final decision who has been selected as scholarship holder is still with the Eurpean Agency. As soon as we receive the approved Ranking List the applicants will be informed! In the meantime we strongly encourage all applicants to look for additional funding to be in any case able to join AstroMundus.
  • December 9th, 2011: End of application period.
    The call for applications for the third edition of the AstroMundus Master Course has been closed on Nov. 30th. The results of the ongoing student selection are expected to be known by mid-April 2012.
  • July 15th, 2011: Call for applications, AstroMundus third edition. Applications for the course starting in Sept. 2012 should be submitted after Aug. 1st, 2011 and no later than Nov. 30th, 2011.
  • February 10th, 2011: Retreat in Asiago, Italy, July 1st to 4th, 2011.
    All students of the first edition of the AstroMundus Masters Course and lecturers from all 5 partner institutes will participate in a retreat at the Asiago Astrophysical Observatory (University of Padova), in the Italian Prealps. Presentations of Master thesis topics by the lecturers, as well as presentations by the students, exercises at the telescopes and a social programme including a small hike are foreseen.   • February 7th, 2011: Edition 2 Selections.
    The call for applications for the second edition of the AstroMundus Master Course has been closed on January 31st. The results of the ongoing student selection are expected to be known by mid-April 2011.
  • December 7th, 2010: Extended application deadline for EU students!
    The deadline for applications to the AstroMundus Masters Course edition starting in September 2011 has been extended until January 31st, 2010 for EU students and for those non-EU students who already spent at least 12 months in Europe during the last 5 years. These applicants will compete for the assignment of Category B scholarships.
  • August 1st, 2010: Call for Applications, AstroMundus Edition 2.
    The call for applications to the AstroMundus Masters Course edition starting in September 2011 is now open. The deadline is November 30th, 2010 for both non-EU and EU students.
  • June 29th, 2010: AstroMundus at JENAM 2010.
    AstroMundus will be represented in the exhibition area at the Joint European and National Astronomy Meeting JENAM 2010, September 6th - 10th, Lisbon, Portugal.
  • May 17th, 2010: First AstroMundus Board Meeting.
    The 2010 meeting of the AstroMundus Board took place at the University of Innsbruck on May 17th 2010.
  • October 2009: Call for Applications, AstroMundus Edition 1.
    The first call for applications for the AstroMundus Masters Course starting in September 2010 is open. The deadline for applications is December 31st, 2009 for Third Country (i.e. non-EU) students and April 30th, 2010 for EU students.
  • August 31st, 2009: AstroMundus Kick-off Meeting.
    The first meeting of the consortium for AstroMundus, the Erasmus Mundus Masters Course in Astrophysics, took place at the University of Innsbruck on August 31st 2009.
