Study animals comprehensively

The goal is to introduce our students to the exciting field of zoology in all its facets and to train them in the use of the latest technologies in the field of life sciences.

We offer basic zoological education in the bachelor's degree program in biology as well as in theteacher training program in biology and environmental studies. As one of the few European universities, we offer amaster's program in zoology as well as doctoral studies. Furthermore, we are significantly involved in the master program Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology.

The courses at the Institute of Zoology follow the principle of modern, research-led teaching with current topics and methods from ourindividual research groups.

The preliminary meeting and module allocation for the summer semester of the
Master's program Zoology will take place on March 4, 2024 at 15:00 in the seminar room
