Content
Training
In the morning, Mr. Robert Gartner, the responsible officer at the Federal Ministry of the Interior, will present basic information on the Weapons Act and the psychological reliability assessment from a legal perspective. He will provide first-hand information on current considerations, innovations and plans of the legislator in the field of security and weapons law and will be available to answer questions.
In the afternoon, Ass. Prof. Dr. Johannes Klopf from the Department of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Neuropsychology at the University of Salzburg will discuss topics that are important for the assessment of the reliability of gun owners (and other prognostic questions). For this purpose, he covers topics such as legal psychology, psychological diagnostics for the assessment of the dangerousness and forensic neuropsychology. Mr. Dr. Klopf will offer plenty of social and method-critical arguments and encourage reflection on humanistic values in connection with guilt, punishment and the execution of measures.
