Technology Transfer and Investment Management are responsible for the administrative running of the Uni Holding. The Rector of the University of Innsbruck, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Tilmann Märk, and the university’s Vice Rector for Research, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ulrike Tanzer, are the CEOs of the Uni Holding.

Tilmann D. Märk, born in 1944 in Seefeld in Tirol, is a trained physicist and has been rector of the University of Innsbruck since 2011. Prior to becoming rector, he spent eight years working as Vice Rector for Research. He studied physics and physiology in Innsbruck before going on to gain international acclaim for his work in the field of ion physics, publishing more than 750 articles in renowned journals and books and gathering over 11,000 citations in a discipline on the boundary between physics and chemistry. He has given speeches and presentations at over 250 conferences and symposia across the world and acted as a tutor for more than 150 diploma and PhD theses. Märk has been awarded honorary doctorates by the universities of Lyon and Bratislava and has received many further awards and prizes.

German Philology and English/American Studies (LA) at the Universities of Vienna and Salzburg. Doctorate and habilitation in Modern German Literature at the University of Salzburg, ao. Univ. Prof. at the FB Germanistik at the University of Salzburg. Guest professorships at the Universities of Leiden (NL) and Klagenfurt. Since 2014 Professor of Austrian Literature and Head of the Research Institute Brenner Archive at the University of Innsbruck. Since October 2017 Vice Rector for Research at the University of Innsbruck.

Mag. Alexandra Hamm
Alexandra Hamm studied business at the University of Innsbruck before spending two years in São Paulo working for Roland Berger & Partners, Germany’s largest consulting firm, in the fields of Management Recruitment and Management Audit. Following five further years in Management Audit with Roland Berger & Partners in Munich, Hamm founded an HR and corporate consulting company specializing in M&A, start-up consulting and innovation management.
She has worked for the University of Innsbruck since 2008 and is responsible for developing and managing Investment Management.
Mag. Annelie Gerstmayr
Degree Programme in Business and Economics at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, afterwards stay abroad at the Universidade Nova in Lisbon. Subsequently working for Ernst & Young Linz, University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and Management Center Innsbruck. Since 2016 employed at the University of Innsbruck.
