Bio and Nano Physics

The Bio and Nano Physics Group led by Thomas Franosch addresses a broad range of fundamental questions in biological and nano physics using a combination of theoretical and computational tools.

In nano physics, we elaborate a quantitative understanding of strongly confined liquids. We are also investigating driven lattice Lorenz gases and in the area of biological physics, we are interested in the dynamics of self-propelled particles and thin needles.
