Open PhD positions
Funded PhD positions are available at the Research Institute of Textile Chemistry and Textile Physics, University of Innsbruck, Austria (www.uibk.ac.at/textilchemie).
The institute, located in Dornbirn (a town 180 km from Innsbruck and close to the Lake Constance), offers high quality research and academic training with a unique surrounding for people interested in outdoor action at your doorstep.
We are looking for a highly motivated prospective PhD students with strong background in chemistry, physics, material science or related disciplines to perform research in the following topics:
- Advanced fibre materials for application in energy conversion and storage (redox flow battery, hydrogen electrolysis)
- Isolation and recovery of fibre materials for reuse (chemical separation, fibre-to-fibre recycling)

For interested students, the Research Institute of Textile Chemistry and Textile Physics offers the possibility to perform research work within the topics of applied or fundamental research in textile chemistry and textile physics. Corresponding to the research performed at the Institute, each theme will also contain parts that are of relevance for future industrial application.
