Graduation ceremonies are offered by the University of Innsbruck on ten different dates throughout the year.
They take place in the Aula of the University of Innsbruck.

Golden PhD graduation ceremony

The “golden PhD graduation ceremony” will take place on Friday, 16 May 2014. Please contact a member of staff at the Department for Graduation Ceremonies if you have any question about this ceremony.

Registration

Graduates can register to take part in a graduation ceremony in any of the following ways:

  • via the online student platform LFU:online using the function “My mailbox”,
  • by visiting the Department in person (main university building, 3rd floor, room number 3038),
  • via fax, e-mail or post (using the form "Anmeldung zur Akademischen Feier").

In order to register for a graduation ceremony, graduates must submit a copy of the notice (“Bescheid”) confirming the award of their academic title. They must also present their passport, ID card or student card as well as printed confirmation that they have transferred the fee for the graduation ceremony (if they wish to pay the fee via bank transfer).

Graduates wishing to register for a PhD graduation ceremony must also submit a copy of their PhD study programme certificate (formerly known as the “doctoral examination certificate” – “Rigorosenzeugnis”).

All necessary documents must be submitted to the Department for Graduation Ceremonies by the relevant deadline.

Graduation ceremony fee

Fee for participating in the graduation ceremony:

  • Bachelor’s graduation ceremony: €75.00
  • Master’s / diploma graduation ceremony: €75.00
  • PhD graduation ceremony: €75.00
  • Graduation certificate (without ceremony): € 59.00
  • Fee for issuing additional certificates: €20 per certificate
