With a publication in the repository your thesis is accessible to any interested member of the public, but also to researchers all over the world. Your thesis will then be stored long-term and receives s a long-lasting and quotable internet address.

How can you upload your final thesis to the repository?

Enter your metadata into this web form (for doctoral/PhD students compulsory, optional for diploma and master students). There you also have the possibility to upload a PDF-file version of your thesis. The upload of the PDF is not compulsory.

What must be considered for uploading your thesis?

If your thesis contains parts, e.g. essays, which have already been published, you must respect the regulations of the respective journal and publishers’. These legal regulations are found on the one hand in the publishing houses contracts, and on the other hand you can also query the regulations of publishing houses regarding self-storage via the Sherpa/Romeo database. Moreover, the Department for Digital Services of the ULB Tirol library is happy to assist you in contacting the publishing houses. 

Should you plan to publish the thesis or parts of the thesis, we advise you to obtain  the publishers’ right to offer parallel Open Access publication via the repository. We also advise you to speak to your supervisor.
