Studying Abroad

A period of study abroad guarantees best chances on the employment market in addition to the cultural and exchange experience. Together with a consolidation of expert and language knowledge studying far from home promotes social competences. Skills such as cultural tolerance, flexibility, personal independence and stress resistance can prove to be vital criteria for future employers when choosing personnel. Every year numerous Innsbruck students take the opportunity of studying abroad within a financially supported exchange programme.

Erasmus Outgoing

For many years the University of Innsbruck has been second (to the incomparably larger University of Vienna) with our number of Erasmus nominations in Austria. Almost 500 bilateral agreements with institutions in all European countries offer Innsbruck students the possibility of broadening their knowledge in a foreign country. The University of Innsbruck has a good reputation on a national and international level. For this reason many foreign universities seek cooperation with us. Partners are chosen carefully and the partnerships are evaluated regularly together with experts.

Our aim is to offer a period of study abroad to each qualified student!

All the important information for Erasmus Outgoings (e.g. How do I apply? Which partners do we have?) can be found at our Erasmus-Portal.
