Faculty Advice on a chosen study programme

The Associate Dean of Studies as well as the Deans of Studies of the faculties also give subject-specific and very detailed information on the respective study programmes (e.g. study content and structure, and the recognition of previous levels attained).

You can find the above as follows:
Click on the desired "Study programme" in the section named "Range of Study Programmes": At the end of the course description you see the contact data. Here, too, a personal chat will be offered at a convenient time.

Advice for students of the teacher training programme 

University of Innsbruck qualify to teach in academic secondary schools (AHS) and vocational secondary schools and colleges (BMHS). Therefore, studies are set in the following forms:

  • Teacher Training Programme for two fields of study (e.g. French and Mathematics)
  • Master Programme Business Education 
  • Bachelor and Master Programme for Catholic Religious Education
  • Bachelor Programme Islamic Religious Education

Advice on Studying Abroad

Over 400 co-operation agreements with individual institutes and universities in 50 countries enable students of the University of Innsbruck to broaden their knowledge abroad. The partner universities are carefully chosen and their co-operation constantly evaluated by experts. The first contact persons for students planning a stay abroad during their studies are the academic subject coordinators and staff at the Office for International Relations of the University of Innsbruck.

Advice Chats for South Tyrolean students

An ongoing service for all South Tyrolean students is offered by the Office for South Tyrolean students. From a personal advisory chat to the recognition of academic titles in Italy and the planning of studies in view of the possibilities for professional practice there, the staff are glad to help during advice hours or by appointment.

Advisory Chats for Prospective Students 

The personal chat appointments with the Advisory Service for prospective students are intended mainly to offer an additional oportunity, especially to new students, to get information and answer individual questions on the various topics related to studying at the University of Innsbruck, e.g. on admission and entrance procedures. The advice is open-ended and free of charge.

As demand for advice is particularly high before and during the admission stage, please try to make an appointment for an appropriate time.
