Dr. Rita Green

Dr. Rita Green is an expert in the field of language testing having worked as an adviser in many projects around the world. She is experienced in training teams of item-writers, interlocutors and examiners, providing input on the principles of language testing and the four skills, as well as giving advice on the establishment and maintenance of testing systems.

In her work with test development teams, Dr Green helps members to develop test specifications, item writing guidelines, feedback questionnaires, procedures for the administration of tests, rating scales and handbooks for test takers. Under her guidance item writers receive training in textmapping procedures and the development of items based on the textmapped results. In addition, Dr. Green provides insights into the role of data analysis in language test development work, and teaches teams how to interpret test and questionnaire data in order to improve the validity and reliability of the test scores.
