Applicant Information

Please note that the demand for the Master program Strategic Management is very high and the program is very competitive!
Please apply for the program only if you consider yourself a very well prepared and hardworking student!


Basic Requirement

The basic requirement for admission to the Master Program is the completion of a Bachelor degree in Business or Economics or a comparable program in Business Administration or in an associated field of study (with a minimum of 180 ECTS).


All applicants are expected to have an advanced level of English proficiency: Applicants from Non-EEA (outside European Economic Area) countries must submit the results of an English test. We accept TOEFL with a score of at least 100 (internet-based), 250 (computer-based) or 600 (paper-based), IELTS test with a score of at least 7.0 and The Cambridge Advanced Test taken no longer than three years prior to application. Native speakers from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, UK or USA, are exempt from this requirement, as are students whose preceding Bachelor studies were in English.


Application Procedure

Applicants from EEA Member Countries
All applicants who fulfill the legal requirements will be given a place upon registration. Please keep in mind that the program starts on October 1st. Please note that during August/September the admission department receives a truckload of applications. To be able to start the master program in October, we advise applicants to send their application before the end of July.

Applicants from Non-EEA Member Countries
International applicants from Non-EEA countries who fulfill the legal requirements on time will be eligible for the study program.
We highly recommend sending your application before the end of July to ensure admission by October 1. Please note that the program starts with the beginning of the winter semester in October ONLY! Applications are processed as they are received. Notification of the final decision (letter of admission) will be given as soon as possible. Applicants must ensure that they fulfil the formal legal residence permit requirements in Austria themselves. Please contact the Austrian representative authority in time.

Documents for Application

The following documents may be sent in advance by postal service:

  • CV
  • bachelor certificate
  • diploma supplement or transcript of records

Should any documents be incomplete or missing, or further documents beneficial, you will be asked to submit these by a given deadline. By the latest at matriculation all required documents (certificates, diplomas, etc.) submitted for application have to be authenticated (and translated into English or German) by appropriate authorities in the country in which they were issued and by the local Austrian representative authority.

Number of Participants

The program’s focus on reflective methods of learning requires small learning groups suitable to activate self-guided learning processes among the participants. Thus, the number of students per seminar is limited to 30.
