Application process

Applying for one the mentioned universities, you need to submit a written application online (via Mail) or to our secretary. You can only apply for a maximum of two universities and submit a list of preferences.

The application is composed of:

  • A letter of motivation in the respective national language (English for Finland and the Netherlands) AND in German. If you apply for two universities, you need to submit two separate letters of motivation.   
  • A CV including a photo comprising information about your education, practical experience including internships, and foreign experience. 
  • Verification of your studies including evidence of language skills of the respective national language (English for Finland and the Netherlands).


Ideally, you attend your studies abroad in your 4th. or 5th. semester of your Bachelor studies. 

During your master studies, a foreign semester is recommended for your 3rd.semester only.

Critical for your successful application are your present success of your studies and your language skills.

Winter semester 2022/23:

Submission of application: latest March 21st 2022

Announcement of nomination: March 24th 2022

Summer semester 2023:

Submission of application: latest August 29th 2022

Announcement of nomination: September 1st 2022

After the announcement of nomination, you will be supervised by the International Relations Office. Complete applications for Erasmus have to be sent to the International Relations Office to Ms. Devich latest April 10. for the winter semester and September 10. for the summer semester.
