Student4Student Summer School September 5th to 9th
Part of the IMC2022 (International Mountain Conference), the Student4Student Summer School has also took place this year from September 5th to 9th in Obergurgl, Austria.
Around 80 PhD students across the globe, including India, Cameroon, Spain, and France, presented their mountain research. The topics were diverse and interdisciplinary, including "natural hazards; glacier, climate, hydro; mountain biology; mountain atmosphere; mountain tourism."
Three sessions with thirteen contributions were planned in the field of mountain tourism: corporate regional responsibility sustainable transition, intangible cultural heritage, cultural tourism in the mountains, and open tourism sessions.
The aim of the international exchange was to learn from each other how to accompany and implement mountain tourism developments. Such initiatives also allow us to succeed in linking European Alpine tourism research with international research.
The subsequent IMC Conference took place in Innsbruck with a total of almost 800 participants.
