PRACE

PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) is an international not-for-profit association (aisbl). Its representative organisations from 26 member states provide for a pan-European supercomputing and research infrastructure which allows scientistis and researchers to apply for time on high-performance computers via a peer review process.

In addition, PRACE offers elaborate education and trainings for the efficient use of the research infrastruture via seasonal schools, workshops and scientific and industrial seminars throughout Europe. Austria joined PRACE on 11 July, 2018 (see Austria joined as Member PRACE). Within PRACE Austria is represented by the ACOnet (Austrian Academic Computer Network) association. For further Information please click here.

The Austrian PRACE council delegate is Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Christoph Dellago (University of Vienna). The Austrain PRACE council advisor is Univ. Prof. Mag. Dr. Alexander Ostermann (University of Innsbruck).
