Schaufenster Lehre

Schaufenster Lehre is a platform for publishing scientific publications. For being qualified as e-publication for the Schaufenster Lehre the work must be based on the criteria for practical research. Practical research is understood as research in the context of one’s own teaching practice with the aim of further developing the quality of the activities of one’s teaching. The final decision on a publication on the Schaufenster Lehre platform is made by the respective decision committee of the University of Innsbruck.

Publication applications must be formlessly submitted to the Office of the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Teaching by e-mail or data carrier:

Quality of the Content
  • Precisely formulated, original research questions
  • Elaborate, coherent research design (e.g. based on the concept for practical research)
Quality of Reflection
  • Critically reflected, in-depth conclusions for further developing one’s own didactical experiences and competences.
Quality of Methodology  
  • Multi-perspective data collection (views from all persons concerned, different methods of data collection).
Quality of Form
  • Meticulous and adequate design (e.g. with graphics and tables)
  • Length of 10 to 15 pages
  • Structure:
    • Brief table of contents
    • Title
    • Aims of the project
    • Central question(s) and background information
    • Implementation plan (action strategies for testing the question(s), estimated schedule, interviewed persons, instruments of data collection, etc.)
    • Results – critical interpretation
    • Conclusion for further developing one’s own teaching competence
