Meeting of the research group “Political Economy”

At the beginning of July 2019, an unusual "grandchild meeting" took place at the Department of Public Finance: The research group "Political Economy" around Bruno Frey and his former staff has been meeting for many years to discuss current research work by junior staff (the scientific (great-) grandchildren, so to speak).

This year's works dealt with topics such as "Overcoming Overtourism", "Afraid of Foreign Man", the introduction of women's suffrage, the suitability of lotteries to overcome "leadership hypris", the impact of water interest rates on public finances, behavioral and economic consequences of medical guidelines or also with the "big" emigration from the Ukraine and its (economic) consequences. The interesting lectures and lively discussions were rewarded with wonderful weather and in the evening with a fascinating view of the Tyrolean panorama.

Organization: Hannelore Weck-Hannemann with the support of Julia Egger
