Starting your studies well-informed

The University of Innsbruck and the ÖH (Austrian National Union of Students) offer help to first-year students to make the start into their academic life easier: Students may participate in information sessions (e.g. about scholarships, LFU:online or studying abroad) and library and campus tours.

Education fairs

The staff of Student Advisory Services organises and coordinates the representation of the University of Innsbruck at educational fairs and education days offered at schools and in the regions.

We regularly participate in the following education fairs:

  • BeSt Vienna, Graz, Salzburg, Klagenfurt and Innsbruck
  • Check it out – the Education Day Vorarlberg
  • Futurum Bozen
  • Vocatium Munich
  • Next Step Liechtenstein

Open day

Every other year the universities organise the Tyrolean Day of Post-Secondary Education. This is the open day at all eight Tyrolean Universities. The University of Innsbruck invites everyone interested in enrolling in academic studies to visit information booths and participate in talks and campus tours.

Information brochure

The team of Student Advisory Services creates the main information brochure of the University of Innsbruck “Studying in Innsbruck” and the leaflets of all 16 faculties. In addition, an individual card (Sedcard) is available for every Bachelor and Master’s degree programme, which gives the most important information about a specific programme (e.g. duration, requirements, career opportunities, etc.) All print information material is available at events and advising sessions and may also be mailed out.
