Psychoanalytic pedagogical and educational science

Psychoanalysis investigates the mutually interdependent, subconscious, social and symbolic processes that form us as subjects and define our relations. Issues in psychoanalytic theory formation and concept research and their relevance for educational practice are also investigated. Another aspect is the further development of psychoanalytic-interpretive research methods used in Educational Sciences. Furthermore, some modules also offer to deepen the ability for empathy as preparatory work for students aiming for a career in a psychosocial field.

The subconscious in pedagogy, education and culture

The field of psychoanalysis includes heterogeneous orientations, which are nevertheless all developed from a psychoanalytic approach: The investigation of changes in the parent-child relation in light of the differentiation into genetic, social and biological (surrogate mother) parents through the use of modern reproductive techniques. This not only results in new relationship formats, but also signifies changes in the expectations of the child; discussion of optimisation and self-optimisation; the investigation of the phenomenon of gaming and gamification; the further development of Lacan Marxism to analyse post-Oedipal society and its consequences; studies on psychoanalytic concept research, subconscious dimensions in the psychosocial consequences of flight and the investigation of the significance of the Muslim veil in the context of female adolescence.
