Studies and teaching

The division regularly offers courses on issues relating to educational Professionalization in general and to special pedagogical fields in particular. This includes introductory lectures on the theory of pedagogical Professionalization as well as courses in which experiences from practices are discussed and documents from professional practice are analysed, as well as courses on business education and developmental psychology and pedagogical diagnosis.

In addition, a broad spectrum of courses on research methods is offered, both qualitative and quantitative. This includes the lecture “Overview of research methods” (Überblick über Forschungsmethoden), and final seminars in which research papers are designed and advised on.

Furthermore, the course offering regularly includes seminars on educational theory and subject formation, on corresponding introductory literature in educational and social sciences, and finally on children’s drawings and its significance in educational theory.
