Forschungsinteressen:

Die kognitive Wissenschaft des Schlussfolgerns und Entscheidens, speziell in Situationen, in denen die Informationen, die wir für unsere Schlüsse zur Verfügung haben, unsicher und veränderbar sind. Z.B. kann unsere subjektive Wahrscheinlichkeit für "Wenn es regnet, dann wird der Ausflug abgesagt" unterschiedlich sein, je nachdem, welche Informationen wir zum Wetter und zum Ausflug zur Verfügung haben. Hierbei werden methodologische Werkzeuge aus experimenteller Psychologie, formaler Logik (for allem probabilistischer Logik) und komputationaler Modellierung (vor allem Bayessche Ansätze) herangezogen.
