This exhibition gives visitors insight into the history and contents of the Ambraser Heldenbuch. Selected pages of the Ambraser Heldenbuch have been reproduced, enriched with additional information using digital technologies.

Hofburg Innsbruck: Maximilian I and the rise of the modern world

This digital exhibition in the Hofburg of Innsbruck gives visitors insight into the history and contents of the Ambraser Heldenbuch. Using a touchscreen, visitors can select and display information relating to the Ambraser Heldenbuch, as well as take a quiz. The quiz contains questions about the decorative elements of the Ambraser Heldenbuch and makes the text of this manuscript accessible in an entertaining way.

Students of the HTL Bau und Design Innsbruck have created several exhibits on the subject of Emperor Maximilian I and his legacy, which will be exhibited as part of a special exhibition at Schloss Ambras Innsbruck.
