8. Igler MS Tage
Obergurgl, February 22nd - February 25th, 2009

The Institute of Organic Chemistry at the University of Innsbruck is organizing the „Igler MS Tage“ for the 8th time. In keeping with the elevated importance of mass spectrometry in the life sciences over the past years, we relocated this bi-annual meeting from Igls (900 m above sea level) to alpine Obergurgl (1930 m above sea level) in 2007. Thermo Fisher Scientific as sponsors of this excellent symposium manifest their commitment to advance new developments and perspectives in mass spectrometry.

Invited Lecturers:

I. Jonathan Amster, University of Georgia, Athens, USA
Jesse L. Beauchamp, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, USA
R. Graham Cooks, Purdue University, West Lafayette, USA
Neil L. Kelleher, University of Illinois, Urbana, USA
Ron M. M. A. Heeren, FOM Institute for Atomic and Molecular Physics, Amsterdam, NL

Invitation to the

"8. Igler MS Tage"

Dear friends and colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to attend the „8. Igler MS Tage“, February 22th to 25th 2009, a symposium highlighting modern trends in the field of mass spectrometry. The symposium is organized by the Institute of Organic Chemistry at the University of Innsbruck and sponsored by Thermo Fisher Scientific. The meeting will take place in the newly renovated Conference Center of the University of Innsbruck in Obergurgl. The location in the upper region of the famous Oetz valley provides excellent opportunity for both science and skiing. The scientific program includes morning and evening sessions, leaving the afternoons free for all participants to hit the slopes. We expect participants who are interested or actively working in the field of mass spectrometry and structural biology, and coming mainly from Austria and its neighboring countries. The conference language is English. All participants are cordially invited to present a poster, which is further encouraged by the possibility to win the award for the best poster presentation. Early registration is recommended as the number of participants is limited. To register, please fill in the enclosed registration form or register on-line at: http://www2.uibk.ac.at/organic/en – further information will be sent to you after registration, and can also be found at the above web address.

We look forward to seeing you in Obergurgl in February 2009!
