Open access publishing with Emerald Group Publishing

 

Austrian Science Fund-articles: informations below


Members with active employment contracts or students of the University of Innsbruck can publish open access in the publisher's subscription-based journals without having to pay additional article processing charges. This agreement also includes the online access to almost all of the publisher's journals and is valid since 2017.

Which journals can scientists of the universities publish in?

You can publish open access in the around 300 Emerald journals. You can find a list of eligible journals here.

Who can publish open access?

Eligible are authors, who

  • are corresponding authors of the article
  • are members with active employment contracts or students of the University of Innsbruck
  • whose articles were accepted by one of the Emerald Group's journals
  • are publishing an original research article

Procedure/Verification Process: 

Throughout the publishing process, the corresponding author is informed about the option of OA publishing. Authors are asked to indicate their affiliation with the University of Innsbruck or the Medical University of Innsbruck and whether they want to publish open access. After verification of the authorisation, the author is informed. Please use your institutional email address and indicate the university to facilitate the verification of your affiliation with the university. The article is published under a Creative Commons licence (CC-BY).


FWF articles in this agreement [valid from 2024]:

Articles from FWF-funded projects published in journals that are part of this agreement can be published open access free of charge until the end of 2027 at the latest.

Please note that the criteria listed above must be met. In addition, the following FWF requirements must be complied with:

  • the article must be published with a CC BY licence
  • the acknowledgement must contain the following text:
