Responsibilities
Cooperation in the FWF research project HiPoAF “Unleashing the hidden potential of anaerobic fungi (Neocallimastigomycota)”. In this research project, that brings together research teams from Austria, Germany and Switzerland, a fundamental know-how on the distribution, diversity, nutrient requirements, symbionts, and the biotechnological potential of this peculiar fungal group shall be explored.

Required qualifications
• MSc in Microbiology or similar areas
• Experience in classical microbiology (e.g. cultivation, preferred with anaerobic microorganisms, anaerobic digestion)
• Experience with molecular techniques in microbiology (DNA, RNA, maybe NGS, FISH)
• Independent working method and good team-working- and communication skills
• Desired: Lab experience with anaerobic fungi (Neocallimastigomycota)
• Desired: good written and spoken English skills
• Desired: readiness for mobility, as part of the training will take place at the research facilities of our project partners (D und CH).

Salary
The minimum gross salary for this position, that is in accordance with FWF-guidelines, amounts to € 2162,40 / month.
