About the person:
Carina Bichler studied Health and Competitive Sports and Psychology at the University of Innsbruck. She specialized in Clinical Psychology and collaborates with the outpatient clinic for anxiety disorders of the Medical University Innsbruck and the Village Project. In her doctoral thesis, she researches psychological effects of physical activity in patients with mental disorders. Group-based physical activity, such as Climbing Therapy and Nordic Walking are tested as add-on treatments for patients with anxiety and trauma related disorders.
Collaborating in the team of Prof. Martin Kopp, the team received research grants from the central bank of the Republic of Austria, the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) and the University of Innsbruck (LFU Innsbruck).
