Call for Ukrainian students

The Erasmus+ programme has been opened for students from Ukrainian HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) to study at the University of Innsbruck for one semester (winter semester 2022/23). What to pay special attention to:

  • Students will be admitted for the winter semester 2022/23 and will receive funding during this time (from Oct 3rd until Feb 4th).
  • Admission under this programme cannot be prolonged and does not constitute a right to be admitted as a degree seeking student to the same programme at the University of Innsbruck.
  • Students receive an Erasmus+ grant of 1100€/month, calculated to the exact day.
  • Ukrainian Students will not be required to apply for a visa (e.g. students visa), they only need the Austrian residence permit “identity card for displaced persons” (“Ausweis für Vertriebene”).
  • Students are not entitled to receive Primary Care (“Grundversorgung”) during the time they receive the Erasmus+ grant. Students who receive Primary Care should note that their residence is most likely covered through that programme! The health insurance coverage students receive through Primary Care is not affected by that.
  • Students are required to attend the German language classes offered through the University of Innsbruck.
  • Students cannot receive other funding from EU (e.g. other Erasmus+ funding) or national (e.g. Ernst Mach Scholarship) sources during the winter semester 2022/23.
