Dear Erasmus+ Incoming,


we are delighted that you are interested in studying at Innsbruck University. To be accepted as an Erasmus student please follow the instructions below.


Business and Economics
Exchange students whose university has an agreement with the IWW-office Innsbruck (International Exchange Business Students) must apply through at the IWW Office:





Contact the relevant Erasmus Coordinator at your university to find out whether an Erasmus agreement exists in your subject area. If so, your Coordinator has to officially nominate you by sending an e-mail to containing the following information: full name, e-mail address, subject area (according to the agreement) and duration of stay (1st or 2nd semster or full academic year).



After being nominated by your Erasmus Coordinator to the University of Innsbruck, you will receive an e-mail with the necessary information regarding application, accomodation, courses, etc.



Together with your information e-mail you will receive a step-by-step application guide. Please read this application guide carefully, it contains all the necessary information you will need for applying (e.g. a link to the application website).


Application deadlines: 15th July for winter semester

                                         15th December for summer semester


To complete your application you will need the following documents:

  • Copy of your passport/ID-card
  • Transcript of Records
  • Photo for your student’s ID
  • Certificate: Have your Coordinator at home sign the Erasmus+ Certificate. You will need to upload it during the application process.

  • Learning Agreement: If your studying Sport Science or Earth Science, you must upload your Learning Agreement when applying. We recommend that students in all other subjects upload it within the application deadline as well, but you can also upload it later.
