We are delighted that you are interested in studying at Innsbruck University. To be accepted as an Erasmus student please follow the instructions below.

Business Exchange students whose university has an agreement with the IWW-office Innsbruck (International Exchange Business Students) must apply directly at the IWW Office:



Contact the relevant Erasmus Coordinator at your university to find out whether an Erasmus agreement exists in your subject area.


 After nomination by your Erasmus Coordinator to the University of Innsbruck, you will receive an information e-mail.


 Please complete our Erasmus online application. Incomplete applications are not accepted!

In order to complete the online application, the following information is necessary in addition to your personal data:

  • Faculty + study programme/s (please check your information e-mail and the study programmes offered at Innsbruck University:
  • Date of School Leaving Certificate
  • Date of admission to your university
  • Registration number, if you have already studied in Austria + date of admission
  • Name of your home Erasmus Coordinator

Erasmus Incomings will be automatically accepted by our Admission Department within the corresponding Bachelor Progamme of their studies and receive a Letter of Admission. It may be possible to take individual courses of the relevant Master Programme in cases in which the educational background (prerequisite) is fulfilled and the teacher approves.

For acceptance within a Master Programme as an Erasmus Incoming the original certificate of your Bachelor degree as well as proof of registration in a Master Programme (original version) at the home university must be presented – at the latest on the occasion of registration in the Admission Department.

 Print and sign the online application!


 Send the printed version of your online application together with the Erasmus Certificate (see link below), curriculum vitae (CV), learning agreement and a copy of your passport or identity card to our office. The Erasmus Certificate is classified as the official nomination of your university and must be signed by your home Erasmus Coordinator. You can send the documents via postal mail or e-mail (one .pdf-file each, other types will not be accepted).


 After processing of the complete application you will receive the official Letter of Admission (“Mitteilung) from the Admission Department of Innsbruck University.

Send the documents (Application for Admission/Online Application, Erasmus Certificate, curriculum vitae, learning agreement and a copy of your passport or identity card) before 31st July (winter semester) or 31st December (summer semester) to: (scan of original documents, .pdf only)
