Kick-Off: Akademischer Börsenverein Innsbruck

Students at the Faculty of Business and Management are currently planning to found an investment club ("Börsenverein"). All interested students are cordially invited to the official kick-off event on November 6th!

The idea

The aim of the investment club is to bring together motivated students with an interest in financial and capital markets. The focus is on awakening interest in capital markets and acquiring financial knowledge. In particular, the club is intended to impart knowledge about capital markets and financial investments to a broader public and to provide students with the opportunity to apply and deepen the knowledge acquired in lectures. In addition, the club is intended to provide students with practical insights and to promote exchange between students, scientists and company representatives. In this way, the club not only creates a platform for the transfer of knowledge, but also supports students in developing their personalities and actively shaping university life.

In order to achieve these objectives, the club could, for example, organise the following activities:

  • Student managed funds and trading competitions,
  • "Börsenführerschein",
  • Lectures, excursions and get-togethers.

However, these points are only examples and the precise achievements of the above objectives remains open. Therefore, suggestions from interested students are explicitly welcome in order to realize the idea of the club!

Your input matters!

We invite all motivated students of the University of Innsbruck to the official kick-off on 6 November at 6 pm in lecture hall UR 3 (SOWI basement). The idea of the club and the further procedure will be presented and your suggestions will be collected and discussed. Previous knowledge about financial and capital markets is not necessary. We are looking forward to meeting you!
