A team of the University of Innsbruck has again succesfully participated at the CFA Research Challenge in Vienna. This year's team was represented by Frederic Driever, Tobias Engl, Johannes M. Hesche, Ferdinand Riedl and Simon Thaler, who are currently enroled in our masters' program "Banking and Finance". Starting in October 2016, the team diligently prepared an extensive, written report, dealing with an investment analysis regarding the company Austrian Post AG. Last Friday the results were finally presented in front of the CFA Society Austria. In a tight race, where the team of Innsbruck was tied for the first place in the final presentation, the team representing the WU Vienna managed to win due to a higher ranking in the written report. Despite achieving a close second place, as already in the past year, the University's team was able to gain comprehensive knowledge of corporate valuation and to extend their professional network at the subsequent reception with CFA Society members.
