Athanasios Seretis

Athanasios received his Biology degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2010, where he completed his dissertation titled: “Silencing of the TRAF5 protein in EBV transformed B lymphocytes”. He obtained his Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from the University of Crete, Heraklion, Greece, in 2014. His Master’s Dissertation was focused on the regulation of immune responses via co-signalling receptors in human and immunity models. He started his PhD in tumour immunology at the Medical University of Innsbruck in 2016. His project “Combination therapies to improve DC-based treatment of melanoma” was part of the Marie Curie ITN “Immutrain”. He joined the group of Dr. Jansen-Dürr in autumn 2021.
