Compression was simulated by moving the nodes of the right side of the mesh (model). Through variing the void ratio at the beginning of the calculations shear folds were obtained.

Extension is simulated all the same as compression, just the direction of the movement of the nodes variies (model). As well as on the simulation of compression shear folds are obtained.
