The objective of the project METyrol is to develop and test methods for the automated detection and quantification of shallow erosion with remote sensing data. Possibilities to combine geomorphological knowledge, spatial context and remote sensing for the classification and monitoring of erosion areas are assessed in two study areas in Tyrol. The project is funded by the Tyrolean Science Fund (Mayr A.).
