All courses taught at the University of Innsbruck are evaluated by students on a regular basis in order to ensure a high level of quality and drive lecturers' optimization of their teaching efforts. An analysis of this course evaluation data, carried out by the Office of the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Teaching, has shown the courses taught by Philipp Gschwandtner of the FZ HPC to be among the top 20 % of the University of Innsbruck. The criteria for this analysis were:

  • scores in the "Teaching and Preparation" category, including aspects such as preparedness, the ability to answer complex questions well, and making for dynamic and interesting lectures;
  • a return of at least 16 evaluation forms; and
  • at least two courses in the summer term 2018 and winter term 2018/2019.

The FZ HPC hopes to continue this high level of teaching quality, starting with the renewed Parallel Systems lecture and proseminar offered by Philipp Gschwandtner this winter term in the Master curriculum of Computer Science.
