Master program: Accounting, Auditing and Taxation

Welcome to the website of the Master program in Accounting, Auditing and Taxation at the Faculty of Business and Management. The Master is a two-year program with 120 ECTS which is taught in German and English.

On the following pages, you'll find detailed information about the program.

The next intake starts in October 2018.

An introductory session to the master program takes place at Friday, 28 September 2018, 3 pm (Hörsaal 2, ground floor, SoWi building, Universitätsstr. 15).

After the introductory session, all new master students are invited to attend the alumni meeting of the accounting, auditing and taxation master program, an event that intends to bring together current students and alumni. This event starts at 4 pm in the same location (Hörsaal 2).

-You find further information here: student and alumni meeting

-Please register for the event by using the following link: registration

Newly inscribed students (i.e. students who start their first semester) should register for the following mandatory modules: 1) Management-Accounting, 2) Wirtschaftsprüfung, 3) Unternehmensbesteuerung und betriebswirtschaftliche Entscheidungen.

In the case of elective modules (second and third semester), the registration system requires students to choose the modules (courses) they wish to attend and to rank these according to their priorities. For mandatory modules, priorities can be given for different seminars within the module. If there is more demand than available places for a given module (seminar), students are allocated (or not) based on a combination of the priority they indicated for this module (seminar) and a random element. In other words, giving higher priority to a module or seminar does not guarantee a place, but increases the probability. Please note that students can eventually only attend those modules/seminars for which they have applied. If a course (seminar) is not applied for via the registration system (even with a low priority), it cannot be attended!
