Program Profile

The bachelors program in Management and Economics is offered jointly by the School of Management and the Faculty of Economics and Statistics. It consists of 180 ECTS or three years of full-time studies. The program offers a state-of-the-art education in management and economics, complemented by supporting modules in mathematics, statistics, law, a business language, sociology or political science. While the basic courses are all offered in German, students can also attend advanced courses taught in English and thereby prepare themselves for careers in an international context. In both the management and the advanced courses in economics, students can choose from a wide range of specialized subjects, such as Strategic Management, Marketing, Finance, or Human Resource Management. In these courses, they learn about the fundamentals of good management and gain an understanding of key economic affairs. They also acquire important problem-solving skills; competencies in teamwork, communication and presentation; and the ability to critically reflect upon organizations and society.
