Weitere Informationen

Alice Driver is a writer and journalist based in Mexico City.

Her long-form reporting, radio, and essays have appeared in The New York Times, National Geographic, Oxford American, The New York Review of Books, CNN, and Longreads, among others.

Driver has a Ph.D. (2011) and MA (2008) in Hispanic Studies from the University of Kentucky. She published the book "More or Less Dead: Feminicide, Haunting, and the Ethics of Representation in Mexico" (University of Arizona Press, 2015), which she completed during her postdoctoral fellowship at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City.

Currently, she is part of a team working on the photo book "Red Flag", the fruit of the 2021 FotoEvidence Book Award with World Press Photo. The book looks at the impact of coronavirus in Latin America.

Writing is how she seeks justice and equality in a world that is far from that.

The lecture will be held in English language. No prior registration necessary.
