Curriculum vitae

Janine Prantl has been a research and teaching fellow (prae doc) at the Department of European Law and Public International Law of the University of Innsbruck since September 2018. She is currently (January-September 2021) pursuing an LL.M. degree at Columbia Law School in New York.

Ms. Prantl studied Comparative Literature at the University of Innsbruck from 2013-2015. Her foreign language focus was French, and she wrote her bachelor's theses in the subjects of intermediality and interculturality.

Between 2015-2018, Janine Prantl completed her diploma studies in law at the University of Vienna. She focused on public law and European law. In February 2018, she participated in the Regional Final of the European Law Moot Court in Thessaloniki, Greece.

During her studies, Janine Prantl worked as a legal advisor at the Austrian Association of Public Economy and Community Economy. The topics she dealt with included e.g. the Austrian Waste Management Act (with regard to legal hurdles for upcycling entrepreneurs) as well as Austrian and EU public procurement law. She also gained experience in advocacy at the European level in the context of the legislative process for the recast of the Directive on the re-use of public sector information.
