"ESO User Committee Representative for Austria" (resigned) [for ESO newbies: What is the UC ?]

With the letter ODG124-12 Director General Tim de Zeeuw appointed me to the position of the Austrian representative for the period 2013-2015 following Werner Zeilinger (Vienna).

Due to my move to Antofagasta / Chile - although still having an employment in Innsbruck - I personally saw there a conflict of interest. Thus I resigned form the position which eas finally approved by Director General Tim de Zeeuw, after the successfull hunting for a successor, 14th Februrary 2014.

The new UC representative is
