Rina Alluri is Panelist on the De-colonization of Knowledge

On November 10, Rina Alluri was a Panelist on the De-colonization of Knowledge for the University of Salzburg seminar on The Politics of Gender, Diversity and Equality.

On November 10, 2020, Dr. Rina Alluri was a Panelist on The Decolonization of Knowledge: Roundtable with BIPOC Educators in Salzburg alongside Maia Loh, Afro-Asian Institute, Salzburg & Christine Bayer-Borrero, St. Gilgen International School.

This panel discussion explored themes related to the decolonization of knowledge from the perspective of three female Black Indigenous People of Colour (BIPOC) Educators with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds who are all based in Salzburg. All three speakers are members of The BIPOC Circle, a new initiative in Salzburg aimed to create an engaging BIPOC community who address social justice issues such as identity, racism and discrimination through the exploration of tools that support knowledge development and capacity building. 

The Panel was part of a seminar course on The Politics of Gender, Diversity and Equality at the University of Salzburg led by Prof. Mag. Dr. Zoe Lefkofridi.
