Study and teaching

The idea of critical-reflexive professionalism is a guiding principle of the teaching and research area - both as a self-image in teaching and as a basic attitude that students can acquire and develop. This approach to theoretical questions, methodological approaches and pedagogical practices is intended to contribute to the development of a diversity-orientated pedagogical practice in the (post)migration society. Central teaching content relates to historically and institutionally shaped educational processes and subjective localisation practices. Concepts of research-based learning play an important role here.

In the Bachelor's degree programme, the course content on migration and education is offered in modules 15, 20 and 21. In addition, corresponding seminars in module 18 can be completed with a Bachelor's thesis. Please pay attention to the announcements in the course catalogue.

In the Master's programme, the course content on migration and education is offered in elective module 4. Master's theses on migration and education can be written as part of compulsory module 4.
