Laughing through the pandemic, 20 January 2021, Laughter and humour can be a coping strategy in times of crisis. Verena Sperk and Paul Scheibelhofer from the Department of Educational Science have investigated the importance of memes in particular during the coronavirus pandemic. Memes can create a certain closeness during the pandemic and make people forget the challenges of the pandemic for a short time.
Film and discussion evening #Female Pleasure (CH/D 2018, 97 minutes, director: Barbara Miller) Wednesday 10 April 2019, 19.00, Kursraum, Department of Educational Sciences, Liebeneggstr. 8. The film follows five courageous women from the five world religions and shows their risky struggle for self-determined female sexuality. It is a plea for the right to self-determination and against the demonisation of female lust by religion and social restrictions.
Film series 1968 I 2018: Gender relations on the move. From 23 May to 5 December 2018, four film and discussion evenings on the history and topicality of social movements for gender equality will be held to mark the fiftieth anniversary of 1968 I 2018. The films provide an insight into the diversity of the actors, struggles, successes and contradictions of these movements.
Summer semester 2018 Reading circle: Read, discuss, connect together. From 19 April, a reading circle will take place every Thursday in the 2018 summer semester . The reading group will discuss the book "Feministisch leben! Manifesto for spoilsports" (2017) by Sarah Ahmed will be read, discussed and exchanged. 18 October 2017 Lecture and discussion Sex work is care work - a feminist position in the lecture hall of the Department of Psychosocial Intervention and Communication Studies by Prof. Dr Kathrin Schrader (Frankfurt/Main) on the topic of sex work. This was organised by iBUS- Innsbrucker Beratung und Unterstützung für Sexarbeiter_Uinnen in cooperation with the teaching and research area Critical Gender Studies.
