What you need to know

The ‘Teaching’ section provides a clear overview of all courses and groups in which you are listed as an owner and/or tutor.

You can customise the information displayed and filter it by various categories.

This HelpCard describes the information displayed and the customisation options available.

What you need to do

You can configure and filter the lists and tables displayed to suit your preferences. The information displayed is explained below.

Overview

An initial overview of your courses. Click on the cog icon to view further information about your courses.

Courses

All courses in which you are the owner or tutor are displayed.

Default filters

  • Favourites
    Courses that you have marked as favourites using the orange flag.
  • All
    All courses in which you are the owner and/or tutor. (Exception: Courses with the status ‘Preparation’ are not displayed to tutors.)
  • Active
    Courses with the status ‘Published’ or ‘Awaiting tutor approval’
  • Published
    Courses with the status ‘Published’
  • Moderator approval
    Courses with the status "Supervisor approval"
  • Completed
    Courses with the status "Completed"

Click on More... to configure further filters and sorting options.

Click on the three-dot menu and then on ‘Save filter’ to save a custom filter setting.

Information on course statuses can be found in the HelpCard 10-080 Publication status.

Table values

  • Start
    Start of the course/start of the semester
  • End
    End of the course/end of the semester
  • #Participants
    Total number of participants.
  • #Attended
    Number of participants who have attended this course at least once.
  • #Not attended
    Number of participants who have never attended this course.
  • Last visit
    Number of days since someone last opened the course.
  • Three-dot menu
    • Trophy icon: Click here to access the assessment tool for the relevant course.
    • Light bulb icon: Click here to go to the information page for the relevant course.

Groups

Groups that are included in at least one of your courses are displayed here.

  • #Courses
    Number of courses in which this group is included.
  • #Participants
    Number of participants in the group.
  • Logged in
    The number of participants who have logged in to the group at least once.

Assessment tasks

‘Assessment tasks’ is where assessments from across all courses are collected where a specific action is still required on your part. This view is not a general overview of all assessments. It includes assessable course modules where marks or the completion status can be set by the course module or the assessment itself.

Pending assessments

Here you can see all course modules from all the courses you supervise in which assessments are still pending. Click on ‘Assess’ to access the relevant assessment form.

Pending Grades/Markings

Here you can see all course modules that have already been assessed but for which the manual assignment to a grading scale or assessment system has not yet been completed.

This tab is only relevant if at least one course module has been assigned a grading scale for manual approval.

Assessments to be released

Here you will find all assessments that are not yet visible to participants and still need to be released.

In this tab, you can also select all course modules and release them all at once.
