00-041 Searching for Licensed Content
Using license management, authors can license their content with a Creative Commons license (see HelpCard 00-040). Licensed files and learning resources can subsequently be searched with the (full-text) search menu in Authoring.
Search in Authoring
Click on Authoring.
Click on the tab Search form and choose the filter License. If this filter is not available click on More... right under the search bar, tick the checkbox License and then click on Save.
In the filter License, choose the licenses you would like to search for (you can search for more than one license) and click on Apply.
Type a word or phrase in the search bar and then press Enter or click on the magnifying glass. You will be presented with a list of all learning resources matching your search parameters.
Searching for licenses in the full-text search form
Click on the magnifying glass symbol in the quick link section of your Personal Settings (top right of your user interface). For more information about the quick link section see HelpCard 00-020.
Write the term you would like to search for.
Click on the magnifying glass in order to start the search. A window opens up.
If the simple search does not give you the desired results, choose the Advanced search option. The advanced search option reveals a License field to aid your search.
Choose one or more licenses to look for.
Lastly, click Search to start the search. You will be presented with a list of all learning resources matching your search parameters.
