Touch, smell, taste and hearing ..... Let us invite you to experience plants in a different way.

In our barrier-free garden for the senses, visitors are guided along the beds by a handrail. This allows you to  pay full attention to your sensory perceptions as you walk through this special garden. Interesting leaf shapes, unusual plant structures and beguiling scents are perceived much more intensely. For example, you can touch the twisted branches of the corkscrew hazel or the soft needles of the larch and smell the intense fragrances from afar: sometimes lemony-fresh and sometimes intensely aromatic.

The signage of the plants with dotted and raised profile lettering was designed in cooperation with the Tyrolean Association for the Blind to be suitable for our visually impaired visitors.

We would like to thank our sponsors for their support: Senator Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. H. Batliner; Ebenseer Betonwerke AG; Fröschl Bau AG; Porr AG Allgemeine Baugesellschaft; Raffl Anlagenbau GmbH; Thöni Industriebetriebe GmbH; Würth Hochenburger GmbH; Gesellschaft der Freunde des Botanischen Gartens.
