I’ve studied Zoology and am a MSc student with the Molecular Ecology Group. My MSc thesis is about the ecology and especially the preferred temperature regime of the alpine fly Drosophila nigrosparsa. In doing my thesis, I learn and use a considerable range of ecological methods such as isotope tracing or thermocline experiments.

Additionally, I’m working in the group as a technical assistant with particular focus on the cultivation of Drosophila.

Research Topics

  • Alpine endemism
  • Climate-change biology
  • Faunistics
