I graduated from the University of Pau (France) where I received training in environmental microbiology. I have realized several work placements in different fields ranging from soil science to marine microbiology and including bioremediation.

I have developed a strong interest in aquatic microbiology during my stay in the Banyuls-sur-mer Oceanological Observatory (Paris VI University) and during an oceanographic campaign organized by David L. Kirchman (University of Delaware).

To continue in that field, I have now joined the Institute of Ecology for my PhD working on glacier-fed lakes. The main objective of my project is to understand the consequences of glacier retreat for the structure and function of the biota of alpine lakes.  Glacier-fed lakes which present an important level of turbidity will be compared with clear lakes which have lost the connection with the glacier. In particular, the analysis of Dissolve Organic Matter (DOM) diversity in these lakes will be performed using ultrahigh-resolution molecular characterization and compared with the prokaryotic diversity.
