I am studying Ecology at the University of Innsbruck. I started my Master Thesis about the transcriptome of the jumping bristletail Machilis pallida. Seventeen individuals of M. pallida were sequenced with high throughput RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq). With these raw reads, de-novo assembly and annotation of the genes will be done to characterise the transcriptome.

Research Topics:

  • Bioinformatics
  • Genome and transcriptome biology

Working title MSc thesis:

De-novo assembly and annotation of the transcriptome of Machilis pallida
